SAMHSA Child Care
Subsidy Program

First Financial Associates (FFA) was selected by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), to manage and administer their Child Care Subsidy Program (CCSP).

This federal agency has established a Child Care Subsidy Program in accordance with Public Law 106-58, Section 643. This law permits Federal agencies, contingent upon funding, to use appropriated funds to assist their lower income employees with child care costs. Child care subsidy can reduce the amount of tuition parents pay for childcare by providing subsidies directly to the child care provider. To be eligible to participate, a childcare provider must be a family childcare home or childcare center. Both types of care must be licensed and/or regulated by the State and/or local authorities where the service is provided.

FFA has put together a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to help answer questions that SAMHSA employees may have about the SAMHSA CCSP. Employees of the SAMHSA should Click Here for FAQs.
